  Empathy Challenge: I wish my teacher knew... I found this story to be very moving but also heart breaking I'm not sure how else to explain it. I think good ways to be compassionate and empathetic while respecting someone's privacy is to just let them know your there for them. Empathy isn't so easy I think honestly the best way to show your empathetic to someone is by just listening to them and making sure they can clearly see your facial expressions they tend to show empathy best. You could share how your feeling and some of your own struggles if appropriate to let them know they aren't alone I know this has helped me when people have done this with me. I have never participate din something like I wish my teacher knew. I do think it is a very good idea because I know sometimes I am struggling in areas and my work suffers a bit but I won't feel comfortable saying anything so I feel an anonymous type thing would help.  Link to Source Caption: The difference between...

Data Reveals How Some College Students Sleep by Anya Kamenetz Review  I decided to read the article on sleep titled Data Reveals How Some College Students Sleep by Anya Kamenetz.  Here is the link to the article .  What is one thing that this article CONFIRMED for me that I already knew well that would be that "Sleep derivation affects memory, cognition and motivation" I know this because as someone who very frequently doesn't get enough sleep it's something that I am far to familiar with and don't get me wrong I don't wear it as a badge of honor. It's something I am actively trying to change but as someone who has been dealing with it since they were 14 it's actually not easy to just get rid of and there are a lot of factors that lead into it like stress and anxiety and depression among many more.   One NEW thing that i learned was that a lot of students actually get the roughly the correct amount of sleep in the week.
