Reading 10- doing

This week we worked on the reading task in the lecture slot as a class. This week we had to add a few things to our sections of the book document. The list of things we had to do where if there was any comments left to fix those, add in our test your knowledge, add in graphics of some sort, create a author bio with a photo of yourself. 

I began by going through my section and looking for comments I had missed I had 1 from Shaun which was to take out the start of the my introduction which was a question. I decided to look through the rest of my work and look to see if I had any more questions that shouldn't be there. I then I went on to my author bio and created that once I was done there was the issue of my bio ending up in the header I have no idea how this happened because my computer froze and when it unfroze my bio was in the header luckily Shaun fixed this for me. I was very embarrassed. Aster this I went and added my author bio image and then went to make a image on Canva for my section as I couldn't really add in graphs. I then created my test your knowledge section and added it to the book document. I also decided I didn't want my section to be in the finalized document just because I don't think my piece meets the standard of some of the others.

The game idea I have chosen to continue through out the rest of the semester is my puzzle themed game. Going off the feedback that Shaun has given me and my own research I have done I believe this is the best course of action. Firstly it was my most thought out game idea and one I am most interested in making.   What is a Game Anyway?  After completing a reading of  What is a game anyway? by Ian Schreiber, it is evident that several points where raised by the author of the paper. These points include the lack of a universal definition of what a game is, the weakness of definition and how simple making a game really is. The following blog will address these points in greater detail.  To begin with the author explains what his definition of what a game is, it being "a play activity with rules that involves conflict" direct quote What is a Game Anyway? by Ian Schreiber. Unity Toutorial 03

 I have just completed  this weeks Unity tutorials, which are Lessons 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3. I found these tasks very enjoyable and challenging as there were a few part I had to watch back a few times to figure out where I was going wrong.  This week the tutorial was based around a animals and pizza. Yes you read that correctly. It basically consisted of three animals, a farmer and pizza. The main objective of the game is to feed the animals food to stop them. You would generate the pizza by pressing down the space bar and use the S key to spawn animals randomly around game. This is an area I found a tad confusing. So we had to use animal prefabs and place them in the spawn manager. This came easy however when righting the code for the spawn manager I misspelled several key phrases and cause the game to not operate correctly. After comparing my code to the code in the tutorial I realized I had added letter and was missing some letters as well. (Thanks Dyslexia.). I was actually really happy
